The leadership here at Grace Bible Fellowship is comprised of men who desire to know, feed, lead, and protect those whom God has placed under their care.  Through prayer and the ministry of the Word, they seek to sacrificially serve the body of Christ and equip the saints for the work of the ministry.  You can reach our leadership team through the church office at

  • Tyler Sultze  - Pastor  

    Tyler grew up Washington state, but has spent time living in California, Texas, and Kentucky.  He has a desire to help other people study and know God's Word so it might change their lives.  He has been the pastor of Grace Bible Fellowship since July 2017.  Previously, he held pastoral positions in Texas and Kentucky.  Tyler enjoys spending time with his family which includes his wife (Alyssa) and their three children.

  • Jeff Derango - Deacon

    Jeff, his wife Beth, and their family have been attending Grace since 2005.  He and his wife became members in 2007 and Jeff became a deacon on January 1, 2018.  His greatest memory at GBF is the day that his two daughters were baptized.  Their public profession of faith is a memory that he will always cherish and thank the Lord for.  

    Jeff was raised in Peru, however, after attending college, he lived in other areas of Illinois. Jeff and Beth were united in marriage on July 31, 1993.  He and his family moved back to Peru in 2004.  They have 3 amazing children.  Their son Jackson is finishing up his last year at Oregon State University.  Their daughter Hope is a junior at the University of Alabama, and their youngest is planning on attending U of I in the fall.

    Jeff works for Diamond Insurance Company and his favorite pastime is spending time with his family.  One of their favorite destinations is Disney World!  Jeff also enjoys target shooting, sports, and the occasional game of chess.

  • Dan Piper - Deacon

    Dan has been attending Grace since 2004 and became a member in 2005.  In January of 2018, Dan became a Deacon at GBF.  Dan finds great joy in serving the church through various construction projects on the building and grounds.  Dan is from Chicago originally and has two grown sons and three grandchildren.  He absolutely LOVES gardening and spending time with his grandsons.

  • John Lindenmeyer - Deacon

    John and his wife Mary have been attending Grace since 1996.  He became a member in June of 2019 and on January 12, 2020, John became a Deacon.  Throughout his years at Grace, John's greatest privilege has been playing worship music with many talented musicians.  John grew up in Peru and has now lived here for 32 years. He and his wife Mary were wed in 1975. 

    John retired from IVCH after 25 years. He enjoys the writings of C. S. Lewis and Charles Spurgeon. 

  • Amanda Lafferty - Administrative Assistant

    Amanda and her husband Jason live in La Moille and have been attending Grace since February of 2019.  Both she and Jason became members in March of 2020.  Amanda has been the Administrative Assistant since May of 2020.  Amanda and Jason have 6 children (3 boys - Brady, Eli, & Jaden and 3 girls - Kailee, Mickaela, & Alaina) and 2 granddaughters (Ivy is 1 and Girl #2 is due October 22). Both she and Jason desire to serve the church and grow the Gospel in their personal lives, home, church, and community. You can reach Amanda in the office at

  • Jan Burman - Bookkeeping

    Jan and her husband Dick live in La Salle and have been attending Grace since the beginning of its existence.  Jan has served as both the Administrative Assistant and as the Bookkeeper over the past 30 years.  She has retired from the Administrative position but has stayed on as bookkeeper. She and her husband have been members of Grace since 2002. Jan can be reached at
