The leadership here at Grace Bible Fellowship is comprised of men who desire to know, feed, lead, and protect those whom God has placed under their care.  Through prayer and the ministry of the Word, they seek to sacrificially serve the body of Christ and equip the saints for the work of the ministry.  You can reach our leadership team through the church office at

& Staff

  • Vacancy  - Pastor

Pastor Tyler Sultze and family have taken a call at a new church in TN and will be joining us for worship throughout the month of July 2024 before heading to their new church home. Please join us in prayer as we seek the Lord's guidance, discernment,  and will for the man the Lord has been preparing as our new Pastor.

  • Eric Bjerkaas - Elder

Eric and Andi have been members of GBF since April of 2019, and Eric began serving as an elder in January of 2021.

Before moving to the Illinois Valley in 2007 to teach at La Salle-Peru High School, Eric lived in Massachusetts, Virginia, the Azores, Germany, and California.

He and Andi married in 2009, and they have four children. His hobbies are whatever his children are interested in at the moment, but he enjoys soccer and running whenever he gets the opportunity.

Eric’s prayer for GBF is that we would be a church of increasingly Christ-like followers who lovingly speak the good news of Jesus so that others might also come to treasure and follow him.

  • Jason Lafferty - Deacon

Jason and his wife Amanda have been attending Grace since 2019 and became members is in March of 2020.  They have been married since June of 2019 and have 6 children and 5 grandchildren. Jason became a Deacon in February of 2022. He loves serving the church as the Lord sees fit and is thankful to call Grace Bible Fellowship his home.

Jason grew up in Princeton and has lived in La Moille since 2002, where he and his family currently reside. Jason is currently the LaSalle County Environmental Heath Coordinator.

  • Jeff Schenck - Deacon

Jeff Schenck began his role as Deacon here at Grace in February of 2023. He loves Christ more than anything else. He considers it a privilege to serve Christ and His body in any capacity He would have him to, and will do so for the joy of the sheep of His flock here at Grace, and ultimately for His glory, as he is His and he is theirs.

He also considers himself to be the most blessed man on earth for he has been given, by God, the most incredible and beautiful wife that loves the Lord along with four children to raise up.

  • Amanda Lafferty - Administrative Assistant

Amanda and her husband Jason live in La Moille and have been attending Grace since February of 2019.  Both she and Jason became members in March of 2020.  Amanda has been the Administrative Assistant since May of 2020.  Amanda and Jason have 6 children (3 boys - Brady, Eli, & Jaden and 3 girls - Kailee, Mickaela, & Alaina), 3 granddaughters (Ivyana, Arianna, & Aliyah), and 2 grandsons (Waylon and Jensen). Both she and Jason desire to serve the church and grow the gospel in their personal lives, home, church, and community. You can reach Amanda in the office at
