The leadership here at Grace Bible Fellowship is comprised of men who desire to know, feed, lead, and protect those whom God has placed under their care.  Through prayer and the ministry of the Word, they seek to sacrificially serve the body of Christ and equip the saints for the work of the ministry.  You can reach our leadership team through the church office at office@gbfperu.org

  • Eric Bjerkaas - Elder

Eric and Andi have been members of GBF since April of 2019, and Eric began serving as an elder in January of 2021.

Before moving to the Illinois Valley in 2007 to teach at La Salle-Peru High School, Eric lived in Massachusetts, Virginia, the Azores, Germany, and California.

He and Andi married in 2009, and they have four children. His hobbies are whatever his children are interested in at the moment, but he enjoys soccer and running whenever he gets the opportunity.

Eric’s prayer for GBF is that we would be a church of increasingly Christ-like followers who lovingly speak the good news of Jesus so that others might also come to treasure and follow him.

He also considers himself to be the most blessed man on earth for he has been given, by God, the most incredible and beautiful wife that loves the Lord along with four children to raise up.
